When I came across yoga for the first time I have to admit I was drawn to it because of the physical practice but soon realized it was so much more than just building strength and flexibility.  From that moment on I learned that through my practice it has helped me on and off the mat.  It has taught me to challenge myself even if I feel doubt or fear, allowed me to mindfully connect with my breath and be aware of it in the most difficult situations or asanas, has allowed me to practice letting go of things that don’t serve me and being able to move forward and most of all has made me happy.  I always get a sense of joy when I roll out my manduka mat and stand tall in tadasana (mountain pose)- I feel at home, centered, peaceful, and happy.  Even after eight years of practicing I am still challenged within my practice and feel that there is so much to learn.  Knowing this I knew that I wanted to share my love for yoga with others, wanted to share all that it has to offer.   In 2010 I took the 200hr training through Yyoga with some truly amazing and knowledgable teacher; Kristin Campbell, Andrea Spegil and Anilla Lacroix.  I have also had the greatest pleasure of mentoring with the gifted Shannon Cluff in her TIP program.
